Inspired by the FB LIVE chat with Lydia

Hello! Did you catch Lydia at Altenew opening the new Layered Rose Stamping Kit today on FB LIVE?  It was very inspiring:) The kit is on sale for a remarkably LOW price until Nov. 30.
I grabbed my Vintage Roses set and stamped along with her.
I also used Vintage Flowers, Watercolor Wonder and Smile stamp sets.
Crisp Inks: Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red
The entire Sea Shore collection....as well as
My favorite yellows: Buttercream, Mango, Warm Sunshine..with a hint of Cotton Candy:))
For background, I took Frost Pink mini ink and a ruler, simply swiped the pad along the straight edge to create an imperfect brushed stripe.

Thanks for stopping by!

Chalkboard Watercoloring Coloring for Inspired By #34

Hello! Hope your weekend is going splendidly!
There is a new challenge at Inspired By All the Little Things.

I was inspired by the chalkboard, and tiny pops of Red and White in the photo.

  • I started with the HELLO LOVELY stamp set from Concord and 9th..inked the solid images in shades of red Distress inks on watercolor CS, then added some green leaves.
  • Masked a rectangle with tape for my "chalkboard" and added a wash of black ziggy around the blooms and over teh leaves.
  • Removed the Frog masking tape
  • Had fun with the splatters:)  Copic Opaque White ...which I found had totally dried up since the last time I used it:(( after finding it was waterbased, I simply spritzed some water into the container and stirred it...regenerating to a paste consistency:))
  • When it was dry I stamped LOVELY in White and embossed it with WOW Opaque Bright White EP.
  • Stamped HELLO in Light Onyx

Hope this inspired you to play along with us at Inspired By:))

I found the two company's stamps to compliment each other very well!

I started out with the Peony stamp from So Suzy Stamps and colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers on White CS. I like to stamp in a Vanilla Cupcake whenever I am No-Line Coloring:)

Then I colored two of the Single Flower Swirl So Suzy Stamp using the same three Spectrum Noir markers plus the Spectrum Aqua markers for details.

Next I added Leaves from The Ton's Fresh Cut Roses. Stamping two layers in Soft Garden and Caribbean Turquoisethen coloring with markers. And stamped small berries from

Mini Wild Florals in Red Sangria Hybrid.

Water colored the background with distress inks.
Stamped teh sentiment from  Hello Hummingbird in Noir
Stamped all 7 layers of  Hello Hummingbird and used the coordinating die to cut him out of a seperate piece of white CS.
Inks used for him:

From Trees to Feathers

There is a new challenge at Inspired By All the Little Things.

Those trees had me thinking of the new feather stamp set from HoneyBee Stamps.
Here is my card:

I embossed the feathers with white EP and colored them in with Altenew inks and Ziggy markers. out lined them with a black brush tip marker and shadowed with copics. The sequins are from the Jack Frost mix at HoneyBee Stamps. New HELLO die cut from matte Gold paper.
I decided to go back in and add GOLD gel pen dots and splatters..a subtle change, but I like it:)))

Hope this inspired you to play along with us at Inspired By:))

STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Hello and WELCOME:))

My card today is for a special blog hop we're having over at STAMPlorations. The STAMPlorations girls and I have come together for the Giving Thanks Blog Hop
We're sharing projects that express our gratitude.
If you are hopping along, you should be arriving from Darnell's blog

I used the new Oh, So Grateful Bundle for my cards today.
For this first one:
I inked the stencil, Delicate Leaves, on white CS and stamped the sentiment on top, then ran it through the Bigkick with Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle dies.Cut a tiny banner with the remainder of the sentiment on white CS and adhered it to the card front.

Second card:
I Played with a few different colors and the Delicate Leaves stencil on white CS. trimmed it up with the largest Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle die.
Stamped GRATEFUL repeatedly using the MISTI, moveing the CS up an in inch each time.
Next I cut the  Word die GRATEFUL 5 times from white CS.Glued them offset to the card front.

Third Card:
Finally, I decided to do a bit of coloring on the pumpkin with Inktense Watercolor pencils. The coordinating die trimmed it out beautifully! I popped it up on a few Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle die panels. Ran a strip of Washi across it. Scribbled the same colors from the pumpkin on CS and cut the word GRATEFUL from that using the die.

Thanks for stopping by!!
I am MOST grateful to you, who follow this blog on a regular basis and am encouraged by the comments you leave:) THANK YOU!

I hope you'll check out what the rest of the team made.

The SWISS DOT embossing folder on white vellum made the most delightful snowy BG:)))
