Pure Color With Kara: #3 Stamping Text Over Stamped Images

Super excited with today's card using the Freshly Made Sketches 201 and Stamping Text Over Stamped Images technique.

I created a pattern paper by stamping branches in shades of aqua and black.  Then stamped HELLO in gold over the top.
Layered a piece of vellum over that.  And placed the Small Butterfly Frame and the Botanical Bunch on top at an angle.
Stamped the sentiment in black and Clear embossed it to make it pop:)

PTI AUGUST 2015 BLOG HOP

Spent most of the day coloring:))
I used the large dies from OOPSIE DAISY to make the loopy polka dot embellishment.

Inspired by this photo from the

AUGUST 2015 BLOG HOP at Papertrey ink.

Spice Markets in the Orient comes to mind.

Enjoy the hop!

Tropical Dreams with Press 'n Seal

Good Monday afternoon to ya!

Today I have a card that came together like a Dream with
GLAD PRESS 'N SEAL
***No, This is not a commercial****

I took several photos to show you what I mean,

First I arranged several Essentials By Ellen Die Cuts to make a collage on top of my cardbase, which already had been dry embossed and a Yellow Flower Circle die adhered to it.

Then I took a piece of Press'n seal and pressed it firmly onto the dies.
Then carefully lifted all the pieces off the cardstock.

Each die still remained in the position I wanted it top be.  This is the underside of the collage layers.
Now It's ready for adding glue.

The final step is to place it back onto the cardbase  pressing firmly to adhere the layers and gently peel off the Press 'n seal.

As you can see on the finished card,
I did place a strip of Washi across the Southern part of the base before adding several stickers for a sentiment.
And the collage it'self, migrated more to the north.  However it DID remain together as I had first arranged it.... and I was able to add glue without having to figure out where each piece fit  individually.

Easy Peasy!

Thanks for stopping by!

PTI MAKE IT MONDAY #221: MASKING SENTIMENTS

Today's card went from Simple to Shabby while playing with the MAKE IT MONDAY #221: MASKING SENTIMENTS technique.
 Yes, LIFE is Sweet!
After looking at the card above I decided to add some smaller rose clusters..then my acrylic block slipped and messed the whole thing up, :(( so I did what I could to save it.
  • Die cut a tag
  • mounted it on a background of Circle Scribbles
  • added layers of lace....Shabby Chic:)

Hold onto those blocks my dear readers!! Never throw a piece away, it can usually be saved some how!

Good Day!

No-Water Watercolor Wonders

After watching this video from Jennifer McGuire I simply had to get my Watercolor Wonders set out and play. Using a colorless blender really does make the flowers look more water-colored without the fuss of adding water:)
I chose the color palette from  Pinterest Inspired Challenge #1 and used  Freshly Made Sketches #200 for the design. Only I turned it on a diagonal.
I'm simply tickled with the finished card!

The color variations are Scrumptious, without ANY pilling! Over working with water is a problem for me.  So this No-water technique is a tear saver:))
I encourage you to give it a try!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

LauraJane:)
